As explained here, Color Therapy is a method used to create a feeling or emotion that you seek. But did you know that Color Psychology is a thing, as well? It makes perfect sense that it does! The psychology of color is a study in how our favorite colors define our personalities and behavioral traits. Now…you may read the following and think, that’s not me, because NONE of us doesn’t want to link ourselves to a negative behavior trait. Perhaps we should learn to be honest with ourselves. OORRRR I could be totally wrong!…LOL
What if you don’t have a favorite color?
Some of us may not have a favorite color, but there’s no doubt there will be moments when we’re drawn to a certain color more than another. Favorite color or not, this color guide can help you look further into areas of your life that might need improving. It’ll also help you to learn which of your chakras need healing.
If your favorite color is…
Red- You are bold, sexually charged, and want to make a lasting impression.
Those of us who love red are usually in tune with why we choose to wear such a vibrant color. You are possibly an extrovert who want to be seen! You have a deep need for fulfillment, can be aggressive and have a need to control. However, you have such enthusiasm for life and is a goal chaser!
Blue- You are Calm, cool, and able to keep things more even keel than most.
Contrary to popular belief, the color blue isn’t associated with feeling “blue” or “down”. In fact, It’s been said that people who is drawn to the color blue as their favorite color, are those likely to be very lovable people. Associated with feelings of serenity, those of us who love blue find peace and tranquility in places where others do not. You have a need for order and direction in your life. You can, however, be too passive and emotionally unstable.
Green- You are Prone to putting lots of importance on money and security.
According to color psychology, those who love green desperately want to feel secure in both their finances and relationships. Green is also the color for growth and renewal. You’re great at being tactful, emotionally balanced and calm. You are a peacemaker at heart.
White- You are innocent. (Or at least you think you are.)
White is the color for innocence, purity, virgins on their wedding day ( How many virgins do y’all know?), beginnings, wholeness, and completion. Those of us who love the color white are really meticulous in our appearance. You are a fan of simplicity and pretty self-sufficient. However, you can be quite distant, unimaginative, and boring.
Purple- You act outside the box, sometimes in your own special way.
People who are drawn to purple are sort of hippy-like in the way they impractically tackle the world with their Utopian ideals. They tend to favor mysticism to reality and prefer to be alone where they can be themselves. Those of us who love purple light up when we get to express our creativity. We are intuitive and can be quite the humanitarian that the world need. However, we can be aloof, impractical, and quite arrogant.
Pink- You are A little naive, sheltered, and have delicate sensibilities.
The color pink represents love, compassion, and nurturing. However, those who love pink do so because it’s an escape from the reality of impending adulthood. It’s is the toned-down version of red with subtle hints of passion. Pink lovers have the tendency to be childlike, mentally, in how we interact with other adults.
Yellow- You are a happy idealist who is underestimated far too often.
People who love yellow are idealists at heart, even though some of their ideas can be a bit far-fetched. Those of us who love yellow are really confident and are go-getters. You’re full of originality, creativity, and good-humored. However, yellow lovers can be critical of others, as well as of themselves, can lack compassion, and quite impatient.
Black- You are part moody, part sophisticated.
People who love to wear the color black are those who tend to be complicated realists with a need for control. Their realistic view of the world keeps their pessimism and moodiness in check. However, you’re very sophisticated. You’re also strong, seductive, and provide comfort. You should open up more and express your feelings, as opposed to keeping them bottled up.
Orange- You are friendly and easy going.
Those who love the color orange want to be the center of attention, tend to be flamboyant in nature, and are not likely to have too many serious thoughts. Orange lovers are into adventure, risk-takers and have lots of confidence. However, it’s your over-bearing behavior and self-indulgence that keeps people from wanting to bar hop with you.
