Three Ways To Focus On The Goodness In Your Life, Even During Stressful Times.

Although we strive daily to have good days, there are inevitable circumstances that occurs in our lives that prevents us from experiencing good days and staying optimistic altogether. Especially during the current state of this country, including the Gov’t Shutdown. This is why it’s important for us to find ways to beat the stress and anxiety we face during difficult times. Otherwise, we’ll be faced with overwhelming fear over tough situations becoming tougher and unable to fix. Here are five stress-free/anxiety-free methods that’ll help clear the mind, help you focus on the goodness that life really does offer, and help you envision the life path that will take you away from the reality of stressful situations.

 

Gratitude Jar

A gratitude jar is simply a jar filled with notes that you put in every time something good happens. The goal is to start on New Year’s Day and read them all on New Year’s Eve. Honestly, you can start any day you’d like and read them whenever you’d prefer. The true gift behind it all is looking forward to good things throughout your day daily, so that you can find reason to fill your jar. Enjoy the process while focusing on the positive stuff.

 

Vision Board

Creating a vision board is a fun and creative way to build a source of inspiration and motivation of life goals you want to manifest. A vision board is simply a collage of images and affirmations that relates to your life goals/plans using magazine cutouts, stickers, stencils, and other random arts & craft supplies. You can also create online vision boards. Pinterest is a great platform to create one. Below is a picture of me holding mine.

 

Affirmations

Speaking, or even writing your affirmations, will help you relieve any negative expectations. When you set affirmations, particularly in the morning, you are proclaiming to have good experiences throughout the day. You are also proclaiming to have better days ahead. Speaking/writing affirmations provides emotional support and encouragement for yourself. This is YOU providing what you need…one of the ultimate forms of self-love and personal growth.

Affirmation examples:

“I am worthy of every good thing in my life.”

I deserve to be happy.”

I will be successful and experience prosperity.”

“Money comes to me in abundance. because I am worthy.”

“Love is in me. I give love and I receive love.”

Writing affirmations are effective reminders that you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find in random places you’ll sometimes forget you placed. Write your affirmations on a little note and stick them wherever you commonly are. (i.e. bathroom mirror, dashboard, kitchen counter, etc.)
