As adults, we navigate through life which, at times, can be quite arduous. We operate daily as parents, spouses, employees, business owners, entrepreneurs, etc. and sometimes these roles can bring us an inevitable amount of stress and anxiety. It’s up to us to find the time take a break and to help in these breaks are these essential remedies to help take away that unwanted stress.


Essential oils:

Lavender– Lavender is definitely my go-to essential oil and one of my favorites for stress relief. Its floral scent provides a soothing comfort and produces amazing relaxing benefits.

Application methods:

  • Use a diffuser to ease away tension
  • Take two drops internally to aid in peaceful sleep and to calm the nervous system
  • Apply a bit to areas where you apply perfume.
  • Rub a few drops in the palm of your hand and rub on your pillow


Ylang Ylang-more sweet smelling than lavender, but the great benefits are just the same. Ylang Ylang essential oil’s pleasant scent helps uplift your mood while providing positive outlooks

Application methods:

  • Use a diffuser for better sleep
  • Apply to back of neck for uplifting effect
  • Add two drops to a warm bath



Lemon: I absolutely love the health benefits of this fruit, so of course, I’m a fan of the Lemon essential oil! It has so many amazing uses, but more importantly, it aids in energizing you and making you feel great.

Application methods:

use a diffuser to neutralize odors and elevate mood

Take internally with water (1 or 2 drops) to detoxify and as an antioxidant

Amethyst– One of the few crystals that I keep with me at all times, especially when at the 9 to 5. Amethyst is not only aesthetically pleasing, but the healing properties is an essential need for removing negative emotions. It aids in the removal of negative thoughts, calms and stills the mind, places you in a meditative state, elevates your spirit, and unblocks your Third Eye Chakra.

Blue Lace Agate: The beautiful sky-blue color alone emits a calming effect and also makes for beautiful jewelry. Use this crystal to remove feelings of worry, anxiety, and to provide soothing vibrations.
